Donate Blood

5:56 PM

I received this message in a Whatsapp group last week.

Compared to the one about Dr Fazly from SIUT, this seem genuine. However, compared to the other one as well, this DID NOT go that viral. Only ONE person shared this. Perhaps there is a logical explanation.
1. The target group are people living near Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
2. This is REAL stuff. People are more obsessed with fake news than real ones.

Why do I say it is genuine? One obvious fact is Mr. Zaid Ahmad IS REAL. His name appears in the hospital's staff list. His name was also mentioned in a few articles in local newspapers (Google it up!).

However, I believe the shortage of donor blood is not just limited HRPZ II. As the Hari Raya holidays draws near, hospitals all over Malaysia are expecting a surge in motor vehicle accidents (MVA). When MVAs occur, expect a lot of blood loss. Thus, the availability of donor blood supply can be a life line for countless of victims.
